Create a 3d ebook

Learn to create a book in this Photoshop tutorial. You can use this tutorial to create a cover page for your e-book.

Step 1:

Start a new document of size 350×350 pix.

Draw a Rectangle using the Rectangle Tool.

Step 2:

Now go to Edit>Transform>Perspective .

Drag the box edge to right like this

Step 3:

Now create a new layer and draw another Rectagle. Again use the perspective transform to adjust to the previous Rectangle. This time you need to pull up the edge. This is what I did.

Step 4:

Again Create a new layer and draw another Rectangle but this time on the top. You can also Edit>Transform>Skew to fit it on the top as pages. This is what I got.

As you see here the top portion has come out of the margin to fix that we can use the Polygon Lasso tool to make the unwanted selection and delete it. Something like this

Now press the delete button and this is what I got

Now we see our basic layout of the book is done now we need to add some text and change the colour to make it look like a book.

Step 5:

I have used the following colours. Keep the binding part of the book darker than the Coverpage. This gives a realistic look to the book.

Now let’s add some text on the book and we are done.

Step 6:

I have added some gradient, an image on the main cover and if you see clearly I have added a scan line effect (click on the link to see the scanline tutorial) on the pages. That’s all and we are done. This is what I got.
